Recently i was doing a project for my client where in it was required to access a USB bar code scanner manufactured by MARSON Tech, Taiwan. The USB scanner when connected to the Android handset, was detected as a HID keyboard and a external mass storage device.
A requirement came up while developing an Android application for my client for scanning bar code. Obviously I went for the famous ZXing library and downloaded the approximately 120MB source code zip file from Git Hub but I soon started feeling frustrated that I am wasting more time in understanding this huge library.
If you want to develop applications for android and looking to buy a Android enabled handset then i recommend buying Samsung Galaxy Y 5360. Its a good handset with low cost of 6500 Rs to 7000 Rs. Comes with a good fast processor operating at 800 MHz, capacitive touchscreen
If you are from India and trying to use your Debit card with Google checkout then its a waste of time, I also tried many Visa and Master Card enabled Debit cards, but each time the card was declined.
